The American Steel (sleal) Trust gives us an object lesson in gigantic financiering in stupendous figures, which is both fascinating and startling It is a stunner from Stunsville, Stunning county, Stun. This company has oruanized ith a capital of three thousand dollars under the law of the charitable state of New Jersey. Modest concern! Indulgent state I Submissive-people Selah.

The capital stock ($3,000) is divided into thirty shares of one hundred dollars each fifteen shares preferred and fifteen shares common. This trifling capitalization, according to the brilliant ideas of J. P. Morgan Co is to be increased to one billion, one hundred million dollars. divided into three hundred million of bonds, four hundred million of preferred stock and four hundred million of common stock.

Of the one billion one hundred million capital, the amount going to the different concerns forming the Trust, in exchange for their own stock, is eight hundred million, and the remaining thrpo hundred million is NEW WATER Selah. Pra tical men, experts if you please, who know the properties andean grasp the wonderful, sweeping magnitude of this deal, estimate that the different plants forming the new trust en be duplicated for two hundred and fifty million dollars, which represents the actual capital invested Selah. The live hundred ai fifty million difference between the actual cash invested and the eight hundred million they get for it is OLD WATEli. Selah.
