Miss Francis Harper lias quite a busy woman the past few weeks, having a heating plant installed in 1886 1908 their house near the depot. The plant is now in working order and the thermometer may drop to zero if It wants to, as the plant is up-to-date J. F. Randolph, a revenue collector, was registered at the Bissell Sunday. Over at Stockton last week Randolph picked up a pair of colored men ho were handling booze without a gover-ment license, and it cost them thirty plf.nks each to square with Uncle Sam.

the Oliver meeting there has been "nothing doing" for a revenue collector here; the majority of former boozers being afraid to look a beer cork in the face. Every Sunday for some time past a gang of youngsters have been crawling around over the walls of the new school building, some venturing to perch, upon the tall chimney. While the lads may think they are the most sure-footed and prjtof against mishap, a misstep or a slip would send them to the ground in a twinkle. Broken bones would then be the result, and possibly some mother's darling would get a ride in the hearse. Boys old enough to know the danger take long risks for a little fun.

Phil Townsley has made satisfactory arrangements with us that he may continue receiving cream at the News-Dispatch building. Guess Tbwnsley and the writer will get along all right. If it comes down to a pinch, we are not afraid but that he will learn us how to test and skin cream, so that should we be so fortunate as to "fall down" in the print business we'll have a good trade to fall back on. and they will have no trouble keeping warm at their house this winter.
