His lecture on the "Man of Gallilee" will be timely as our S. S. lessons now are on the life of Christ. This lecture will be eriven on Tuesday evening, Feb. 8th.

The same at Centennial on Feb. 9th. "Ben Hurr" illustrated Feb. 10th in Burrton, These lectures are given under the auspices of the Epworth Leagues. Slutz's Lecture.

Jr. Slutz of. Wichita filled his en gagement here on the 24th. The even mg was stormy hence his audience was not what it would have been if it had been otherwise. His lecture was first class.

His theme "A delusion or two" was well handled. Our people declare it to be one of the best lectures ever delivered in our city. We commend him to the leagues of our conference. You will not find anything better on the Lecture Bureau. His charges are reasonable.

We knocked at the door of the studio of the Western Methodist while in Wichita, Tuesday, but found the door locked and the editor had gone to eat chicken. Up to the present time the Be v. We ask the Mercy and Help department of our league to prepare a box of clothing and food to be sent to the Salvation Army food and shelter house at Wichita. Let us help those self-sacrificing army workers. E. B. Hildinger is now well settled in his new place of business at Newton.

His stock compares well with any in the city. He asks the public at large to meet him at his new stand. He especially invites his Nickerson friends. The Union Hardware Co. are planning to enlarge their stock of farming implements.

Coffee sells at 10 cents per pound. Stepping into the Union Hardware store we were surprised to see the change that has been made. The room has been enlarged and the stock increased. Mr. Goryin takes the place of Mr.

Stone as a member of the firm. We looked in on the Dry Goods establishment of E. B. Hildinger when in Newton and found it one of the best in the city. Newton shoppers are finding out that Mr.

Hildinger knows his business well and that he keeps an up-to-date store. 'The Man of Gallilee," is a vivid portrayal of the life from the Manger to the Cross, to be given by Rev. Roberts of Pratt, on February 8. Let the church be packed to witness this lecture. A choir of singers will be in' the entertainment.

Admission 10 and 13 cents, Family tickets 50 cents. The lecttre will be illustrated with seventy-five stercoptican pictures from five to fifteen feet square. This under the auspices of the Junior League. The same entertainment will be given at Centennial on Feb. Do j-ou expect to be made perfect in love in this life? Are you growing so to be?
