X.Ei3ir.Acn, Agt. 3 lar battery game there being but four safe hits made. The game yesterday was everybody's game. It was a regular slugging match. The Beaton's put in their kid pitcher' Freeman who pitched a strong game against the De-troits a few days ago.

When he went into the box many of our people thought the Beatons would easily win and some of the boys backed their opinion with a little cash. It was an off day for Freeman, and the Beds soon got onto his deceptive curves, and pounded him for twenty hits with a total of eighteen runs. The Beatons made eight runs off of Kane, when Meakin Avas put in the box, and thereafter they were shut out. Early in the play, the second baseman, Dugan, was hit in the face, and badly injured by a ball thrown from home to him. The Hutchinson Beds play ball, and we think after a little practice, they will do excellent batting.

In all their playing, they seem to know just when to get down to business. The final game this afternoon will no doubt be well attended. KAKDLE PUBLIC SPEAKING. Public speaking at the opera house, Friday night, April 27th. Everybody cordially invited.
