THE KANORADIAN, KANORADO, KANSAS CORRESPONDENT DEPARTMENT Items (or this department are cheerfully solicited and accepted. Smoky Items Crowded out last week. Weather is very hot and dry grain is ripening rapidly. A large crowd attended the celebration at Sharon Springs also a number from Kanorado.

A fine time was reported by all. Mike Motsinger seems to be about the same. Lester Falk and wife attended D. C. BORTON Carpenter and Building Contractor.

Mid Pririe Items Crowded out last week. Walter Dunham was harvesting his crop of alfalfa last week. Melroy Martin went with Billy Wilcox last week to take a bunch of horses to Colby, Kansas. Frank Thiel was buggy riding last Sunday. The pestive potato bug is here again.

The farmers have been feeding them paris green but with out results. Walter Winn and family are enjoying the mountain breezes these State Line Items Crowded out last week Very warm weather lately. J. Kiper had a sick cow Friday. Miss Pursis Hines is spending the week with Mrs.

Lonnie Eibert. Pete Frye is cultivating his corn. Mr. and Mrs. Rodell, C.

B. Morton and L. Eibert went to Araphoe Friday. Mrs. McCrary's brother is visiting her.

C. B. Morton took his nieces of Hoxie, Kansas home Saturday. John Denny and wife and Mr. Hines were Sunday visitors at the Lonnie Eibert home.

Harvey Galpin and his best girl attended church at Harmony Sunday. There was a small crowd at Pond Creek Sunday school Sunday. Edna Flynn went home Sunday evening. Fred Borton and family were Monday visitors at the Lonnie Eibert home. Miles Kiper called at Nelson's Sunday evening.

Mrs. W. B. Robinson found her horses down by Sharon Springs after they had been gone a couple of months. Mr.

and Mrs. Borton, Mr. and Mrs. Rodell, Miss and Mr. Vincent and Mrs.

Eibert spent Tuesday evening in Burlington. Miss Minnie and Mary Pralle who attended Normal at Goodland, returned home last Sunday. Louis Pralle is working for Joe Hayward. Mr. and Mrs.

Hayward and family and L. L. Meckey made, a run up to Bird City to celebrate the Fourth. Ed. Mowery was over to visit Jay Pralle Sunday.

Knapp drill a well for him last week. Mr. Westgarth seems satisfied that Knapp's men are good workers and some hustlers too, and recomends them to the public, should any one be in a hurry to have a well put down. S. P.

Shaw and family attended the Burlington chautauqua last Monday afternoon. Earle White and wife spent Sun day at the Peter Jensen home. Mrs. Joe Nass entertained her mother, Mrs. Douglass and an aunt from Boston, the Fourth.

Jennie Westgarth was in Burlington Tuesday helping in the A. L. Anderson store during the rush. C. K.

Price and wife took in the Chautauqua at Burlington the Fourh. F. Fleming, wife and daughter, Ella spent Tuesday in Burlington taking in the sights and chautauqua. Carl Dillon has returned home and is once more on the farm. Henry Moroney had quite a time with his windmill and well this week.

Has had to pull it and found one pipe cracked, besides other little ventilating holes which caused trouble more or less. However at present it is working like a charm. Mr. Harrison and Mauda Wroot were attending the chautauqua in Burlington Tuesday evening. Every one who attended expressed the desire of having the chautauqua at Burlington again next year.

Winnie Hines has sold out and contemplates moving to his new home near Denver in the fall. Mr. Hines is east harvesting and Mrs. Hines is residing on the L. Hines farm living in part of the house, the other part being occupied by F.

E. White and wife. days and will visit relatives and friends as well as various points of interest before returning home. A. A.

Thomann was transacting business in Kanorado Monday. Carl Dillon had his car in one of the Burlington garages for repairs one day last week. Mrs. Eliza Love and son, Andrew are visiting the Sam Morrow family, Walter Dunham took Sunday din-diner at the Thomann home. A.
