Now let every property owner in Haven, prepare his ground and be ready to devote that day to the planting of trees. Haven has been greatly neglected in this particular and we should make an efcrt to redeem ourselves. The school board should see to it that the ground around the school house is set in trees and then taken care of, a few posts and one stran of barbed wire is sufficent to keep luose stock off until the trees get a start. What is true of school property is also true of the church, and private residence property, it only takes three or four years to grow large enough to make a beautiful shade and there is nothing a person can do that will ad value and comfort to a home equal to the growing of fruit and ornamental trees, dont put this off another year, but go to work now and make your place look like some one lived there.
