Miss Mary Berry departed Monday for Jersey ville where she will visit for several months with her grandparents. Miss Allice Grigsby and Miss Lottie Leese were up to Mr. Thompsons, near Spivey visiting two or three days this week. S. A.

wolfe departed for New York Wednesday for a few weeks pleasure. He expects to take in all the watering places. G. II. Lynds and family left Monday for Truro Nova Scotia.

On the contrary wht ire the ground was just scratched and then indifferently cultivated, the corn has suffered from the drouth.
