Maurice Rush and family spent Thursday with his parents near Soldier. A few from around here attended the play at the Rose Hill school house Saturday night. There will be a home talent play at the Greenwood school house Thursday night. Everybody come. The Grange will have a public meeting Friday evening.

A gentleman from Manhattan will give a talk, so it is well worth while coming to hear him. There was a good attendance at Sunday School to hear the program and hear what the fathers and sons had to say. They did well but. wait till mother's day. Jerry and Erick Brack were called home last Thursday by the sudden chage in their father's health.

He lingered and gradually grew worse till Monday when the end came. Elmer Hums of Agra, is spending a few days with his parents. It has been 12 years since he was home and he can scarcely realize the changes taken place during that time, lie is trying to persuade his parents to go with him as they are too feeble to be left alone. Dinsmore of Oklahoma, vlsijed a few days the past week witli relatives in the city. Mrs. Orlena Beach is an aunt of rs. Dinsmore. She is a daughter of Ijorenzo Beach.

Bert Williams who traded with II. A. William for the McFar-land prorperty moved his family to the rear rooms last Saturday. We understand that he will use the store room for a garage. Rev.Murphy of Effingham was here for his regular appointment last Sunday.

Negotiations are under way, and if consummated Mr. Murphy will move his family here and become the resident rears, and we trust the response will be general. We do this part ly because we need the money and partly becouse we do not want the account to get too old or too large without your knowledge.
