Hazelton, of Buffalo, N. is here visiting Mr. L. G. Peck.

He is here to be benefitted in health and to look at the country. He talked to the people at the Methodist Church awhile Sunday night. Mr.J.B.Foster succeeded G. W. Bennett as landlord of the Occidental Tuesday last.

Mr. and Mrs. Foster are worthy people and will keep the hotel in excellent shape. We wish the new management success. W.

B. Coates, T. P. Richardson, of the Democrat, and Miss Clara Caldwell, all of Wellington, were in the city Sunday, They informed us that the county printing for Sumner county was awarded to the Wellingtonian. The Probate Judge's office paralyzes the bachelors.

Vickers was only in in office a little while until the license business sent him after a wife, aud now Mr. Cade has fallen in line. There wasn't auy hope for Watrous, so the rule don't apply to him. From the Wellington Press we notice that our old friend, Luke Herring, has gone back to our old stamping ground, Mechanicsburg, on a visit. Luke has worked faithfully on the Press and needs the rest.

Anient spent several days in Kansas City last week. Reuben Small's house, in the east part of town, is about completed. There were no services at the Con-gregatioaal Church Sunday night. Our special local column will be interesting reading to many this week. John Nickerson returned from Harper yesterday, and will leave for camp to-day.

Hudson's family have arrived, and for the present are stopping at Jas. Elgin's. Sam. Adams has his house frame up and will soon have it enclosed. It is a good building.

J. Paul Grove and S. A. Van Kirk, ye local, made a flying business trip to Harper yesterday. At P.

Bennett resigned as landlord of the Occidental Tuesday, and moved into his new house at Bonanza Park, east of town. Elder W. H. Embry, of the Christian Church, wHl preach next Lord's-day at 11 o'clock a. at their usual place of worship.

Beal has beeu appointed postmaster at Albion, vice Robert Elder. The name of the postoffice was also changed to Albion April 1st. R. D. Potts left last week, and W.

D. Terhune this, on a visit to Indiana. They will return before long and make this a permanent home. An interesting teachers' meeting of the M. E.

Sabbath School, was held at Mr. Amey's Tuesday evening. The next meeting will be at Mr. Casteen's. The only Iron preparation that does not color the teeth, and will not cause headache or constipation, as other iron preparations will, is Brown's Iron Bitters.
