The leading, agency in this conspiracy is Tom Murphy, assisted by decoy Bliss, William A. Darling-, James O'Brien, and several prominent members of the late Taniany ring? the foremost of whom is Bill Tweed. The indicted King members are to have the suits against them dropped by the Republican Attorney General, and other favors besides, in consideration of their services at the present moment. This scheme is being matured, and the Mnrphy gang declare they will take such a slice off the Irish vote that Grant mav count on a majority in New York of from 20,000 to 30, 000. The Radicals, and Grant himself, have great faith in Tom Murphy's name, linage, brogue' and general low cunning, but they ignore the fact that every Irishman in New York of the least intelligence, sees as fully through Murphy as they do themselves.
