WALTERHOUSE I I 4 4 4 1 4 4 1 4 4 1 1 1 The Sterlings Last Monday night the Sterling Jubilee Singers gave the first number of the Chautauqua Lecture Course in the U. B. Church. The house was comfortably filled, only a few chairs being vacant. If one can judge from the applause accorded each number on the program, it was certainly a decided success.

It was tiie unanimous opinion of the lovers of music in Cha-tauqua that this entertainment was the finest ever heard in this city. The next number of the coime will be the lecture by E. Sias, on Thursday night Dec. 12th. Mr.

Mr. and Mrs. Blakeslee and son, Holmes, came up from Keifer, Ok. Wednesday evening and spent Thanksgiving with Mrs. Blakeslee's parents, Mr.

S. Revlett has made himself a present of one of the finest touring cars ever run on Kansas roads. It's a handsome machine and Jim knows just how to manipulate the running apparatty. Mr. and Mrs.

J. W. Clayton and family are enjoying a visit from their daughter Mrs. T. L.

Humphreys and two little daughters. from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It has been five years since Mrs. Humphreys, last visited her parents. J.

M. Chittenden returned last Thursday from La Junta, where he was called about a month a go on account of the serious illnes of his son, Fay. The Globe is glad to report that he was able to return with his father and is now at home just west of town. Mr. Slates ha a good supply of apple and plum butter to sell and anyone wish ing the same can call at the house or phone or write him. He also has a large quantity of other fruits, piccililli, etc that he can furnish on demand. G. B.

The christian people are taking a deep interest in the meetings. There will be meeting o( special character on Sunday morning and Sunday evening. Ah are given a cordial invitation to these meetings. Come and get the good of these meetings for they will soon close. "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? Now in the accepted time, Now is the day of salvation.

T. Edwards had business in Pawhuska Tuesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. James Sneed spent Thanksgiving with relatives in Sedan.

Mrs. C. R. Walterhouse attended the Methodist Aid bazar, at Elgin Wednesday. Mrs.

F. A. Fairbanks was a visitor at the Methodist ladies bazar in Elgin Tuesday. M.s. Effie Wade went to Paw-huska Tueaday to attend payment now in progress in that city.

Miss Ethel Mckeehen spent Thanksgiving with her sister Miss Kate at Nowata, Oklahoma. Mrs. Anna Callahan is in Paw-huska this week attending payment and visiting friends in that city. Miss Hattie Pulliam went to Cedar Vale Wednesday evening and will visit her parents near that city unt'd Sunday. H.

N. Reid and family removed from their farm west of Sedan, this week and are now occupying their home in the west part of town formerly occpied by Dave Snakard..
