On motion followii: order was passed by the Board to-witt: Moved that Msx Fromuth who was at the July 1891 term of the District court af Sherman county convicted by said court of violation of the pro hibitory law and was by said court sentenced to imprisonment in the county jail of said county for a period of ISO davs and to pay a fine of 600 and costs, be released from custody without payment of said line and costs, upon the following conditions: That said Max Fromuth shall within 30 days from date of this order permanently remove from the county or Sherman. And in case Max Fromuth shall, af the exiration of said 30 days be found witiun said county or snennan, men, nrl in t.hnt ensn said Fromuth shall be re-arres ted and remanded back to jail, where he shall remain until said fine and costs are tuny paia.

Farmers from the wst part of the county report a foot of snow on the level. The Webb Brothers of Kanorado brought us a quarter of a fine porker Tuesday. Charley Searbrough of Kanorado is home from his visit with grand parents in Maitland, Mo. Mr. Frank Montgomery, of Rooks county spent the holidays with his parents in this city.

Mrs. E. F. Murphy's sister returned with her from Jennings to attend school wltn Miss Maud. Dave Bennett brought over a load, of Blake-nan flour manufactured by Bennett Duepree of that place.

C. M. iflllisack will erect a two story brick "25x70 feet on the lot recently purchased of Montgomery. W. B.

Bryant, the barber has taken to himself ft wife. They were married in Wallace county Sunday. The -'Farmer sends out this week the largest best'edition of any paper ever published in Goodlafld. E. Murphy and O. H. Smith left for Tulare county, California, Monday morning to ruak a tula test. During the snow storm Friday night three engines were laid up by a rear end collision out at Burlington.

O. II. Austin served as auctioneer at the administrators sale of the personal property of Henry Putting deceased. O. P.

Liston. the Rock Island ticket agent at Goodland, made a flying visit to this city Sunday. Colby Free Press. John McCall remained in the city over Tuesday night, looking for friends expecting to arrive on the night train. The commissioners turned Max Frohmuth out upon the cruel charity of a pitiless world at this meeting of the board.

Attorney G. W. Bcmis of Sutton, Nebraska at one time a partner with J. E- Bagley, is in the city on legal business. W.

T. Hosier, one of our prominent prohibitionists Is now serving a 30 days sentence iu the county jail for "boot-legging." Quite a number of the Goodland Assembly, of the Citizens Alliance, are expected down next Tuesday night. Colby Free Press. C. M.

Millisack has pmchtsed the corner lot opposite the Sherman County Bank, and will rect a suitable store building in the near future. Mr. Price of Thomas county made commutation timber entry proof before Judge Um- barger for a claim in the Bouth-west part of this county. Jessie and Elvah Van Winkle are spending racatiou of the Goodland schools at home. Newt Hall of Goodland was in town last week.

Oberlin Opinion. M. D. Cuthbertson who was called to the death bedside of his mother at Belleville by telegram returned Tuesday. His mother died l)ec.

22nd. at the aee of 71 rears. Jimmie Finley was in from Goodland this week visiting his many friends in Oberlin. He reports things as prosperous in the city of Carpenter Foreman W. L.
