If Christ's reconciliation were absolute, there would be no propriety of sending ambassadors to warm the human family to accept the terms, since they would have the absolute right to lifV.with all its purchased felicity. But Christ the first and chief ambassador, and his apostles and others as subordinate ambassadors, are represented in the bible as urging mankind to accept certain terms and yield obedience. This is clearlv taught in 2 cor.

5, 18, 21. Here we are taught the true doctrine of reconciliation, and its conditional cha-acter is clearly presented. Bv the original transgression all mankind fell under the death penalty for the wages of sin is death, but those who through faith, repentance and obedience apply the virtue of reconciliation, become partakers of the life of Christ, which is the gift of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, while those who do not accept on the terms prescribed in the gospel, remain forever under th. death penalty of sin. Inith and obedience tne merits or Christ's reconciliation. What is the difference between the "ministry" and "word of reconciliation" we understand the gospel elements or the plan by which the salvation of the human family is made pos-nible, the ''ministry of reconciliation," is the proclamation and application of that system through divinely appointed human agency. The apostles were the ministers (ambassadors) for Christ, to proclaim, explain, and by the spirit, apply the doctrines of reconciliation, so that all could hear, understand and accept. What is an ambassador? An ambassador is a person appointed and sent in a public manner, by one goyernment or person, to another, to attend to its interests. The apostles were Christ's ambassadors to attend to love and obedience of his mandate.

If Christ by his obedience secured the absolute reconciliation, and consequently, the salvation of the entire human family, why should ambassadors be appointed to urge reconciliation? There would be no necessity of ambassadors to be sent forth to urge reconciliation to God, if Christ had already accomplished the work, if Christ, however, by obedience reconciled God to his work of salvation, and simply made it possible for man, to be reconciled to God, ambassadors would be in place. Would the work of reconciliation which was accomplished by Christ secure eternal salvation of one person, (jew or gentile) without his own personal obedience to the conditions of jreconciliation? It would not since Christ has made that salvation a voluntary matter with man. He has given his life to reconcile God to man in a state of rebellion, and He, therefore, requires man to surrender his hostility to God, accept and carry out the conditions necessary to procure an interest in Christ's life, that eternal life which Christ alone can give. Do not the sacrificial types demonstrate the necessity of personal obedience to secure the benefits of the sacrifices? The person interested in any sacrifice had to procure the sacrifices and then personally make application to the officiating priest, and go in every- Daily Republican and continue through its medium to fight for the principles of the G. We are not hopelessly infatuated with the task of running a daily paper in a small town, and while we like Cherryvale and her people we shall probably seek a new field where we will have an opportunity to paralyze the natives with our eminent editorial ability through the medium of a weekly. Our relations with our patrons have been very pleasant and we sincerely thank them for the generous support they have given us and we bespeak lor its future publishers, Messrs. Eaton. RECONCILIATION For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled, to God by the death ot his son, much more, being reconciled. We shall be saved by his life. What is reconciliation? It is the restoring to favor of persons or parties at variance. How should we define it in a scriptural sense? It is the placing of man (jew and gentUe) in a state of salvation, and thereby removing their enmity to God, or rendering it possible to be removed.

Does the blood of Chirst absolutely reconcile man to God? The blood of Christ simply makes reconciliation consistent with the devine character, and therefore practicable. How then does Christ's blood benefit the human family? It leaves man free to act; either to ayail himself of the merits of that blood and live the life of Christ, which is a gift, or to reject it and remain under the death penalty, the wages of sin. In what sense, then, is Christ the life giver of all mankind, and, therefore the savior of all men? Christ, by virtue of bedience, has placed reconciliation within the reach of all men (jew and gentile), placed him under a better covenant, and given him a release from the death penalty sufficiently protracted to furnish time to avail himself, by obedience, of Christ's work of reconciliation. The grand problem to be solved, is this. How far is the whole hu GERGEN applicable to those only who accept the terms by faith and obedience, hence it is true that "He (God) is the savior of all men, specially of those that believe. In 2 Cor. 5-1S; what are we to understand by the expression, "Ail things are of God?" By "all things" we understand that God is the author of all the changes wrought in man by the death of Christ, fhat He, by virtue of their one common faith and obedience, man family benefitted bv Christ's reconciliation. Is it absolute or conditional? If it is absolute in its effects, then all mankind, (jew and gentile) bond or free, penitent and obedient or the sinner in open rebellion, will be eventually partakers of the lite of Christ, which is glorious and endless; for the Father can have no claim since he has accepted as payment the death BOW (RING) it is easy to steal or ring watches from the pocket.
