The Gov. of Missouri has signed the nut-screen bill of Hichard's. He worked hard for the bill and it becomes law on the 23, of June. Eighty pounds is a bushel in the masters have the power to object to unmarketable coal, and that is what they always have done. The people of this county are preparing to tender Mr.

Richards a grand reception on his return home. Two bands of music and eight speakers have been engaged; banners and inottos will be in the procession. This is a law and there is nothing like it in the United States of America. The miners believe in Individual Liberty; again they point to the law when it is in their favcm Our correspondents faith in laws must be stroger than his faith in prayer, or the dismal failure of enforcing the mines ventilation laws would have made him a doubting Thomas long before now. Weir City, On Thursday, March 19. a meeting was held by the committees of each bank to hear from a delegation of Morerod miners; when the fraud of Bovard and Dickson and Gillmore was exposed to the satisfaction of all. It appears that Bovard and Dickson, made a contract with Gillmore, that he should furnish them with coal, and that they should send money to pay the men on the 20., of each month.

On the 20 of Bovard and Dickson failed to send on the money, and up to this writing the men have not received their pay. Bovard and Dickson claim that Gillmore is responsible for the men's money, while Gillmore, holds to the contrary. Inquiries were made and legal advice obtained, which led the men to believe, that Bovard and Dickson were the resposible parties. A test case was made, one young man man sued for his wages; a jury of disinterested men were impannelled, after retiring twenty minutes, returned and rendered a verdict holding Bovard Dickson as the responsible parties. Each man then sued for his wages: the trial was set for the 20., and when the day came, Bovard Dickson took a change of venue.
