While in Kan. City Mr. Law purchased a nice chapel organ for the I. X. L.

school. The children arc on the upper round. J. W. Albin lost a'Jine horse one day last week.

Mr. and Mrs Olmstead and daughter was in the'eity lastMon-day making preparations for Xmas. Mr. Olmstead is. corn feeding 40 head of cattle for the Kansas City market.

He has paid 30 cents for corn. The morttr sMnger has been at work at Mr. Masiaugh's house and made the inside look fine. Mr. Morris's steamer is at work just west of us finishing up the wheat thrashing and threshing cane seed.

The I. X. L. school will take a weeks, vacation the holidays. Jas.

Maniugh. Sr. bought 100 bushels of corn of J. W. Albin at 30 cents per bushel.

The pesky book agents are plentiful out here. Ed. Henn and wife of Ellis formerly of this locality went to the city last Monday on business. Our fellow citizens out here live on beef-steak nowadays. Wheat is low, cattle are cheap so we kill the fatted calf and eat drink and be merry.

Loyd of AVaKeeney spent Xmas with home folks. John McCoy and family passed through these parts Saturday on their way to visit the family ot C. C. Franklin who now live north of Morland but were form erly residents of this ne lghbor-hood. Joe Van Dorn of Morland spent Xmas with his parents and best Bennie RatzUiff and family visited at S.

Lone Tree was one 'of success. A large crowd was in attendance and lots of presents and every one had a jolly time especially the children when "Santa Claus" came in and went to throwing pop corn balls at them Lone Tree school is having vacation during the holidays. John Rossin, Orrin Lewis and Mr. Beezley and wife spent Xmas with Mr. Rowley's.

Oria, Lewis is on the sick list. Hiss Daisy Beezley will return to her school Monday altera two weeks vacation. Mrs. King spent Wednesday with Mrs. Cyrus Lindley.
