For a lot, go to Upham. was after that deed and I wanted it just at that time. I knew it was a lie, pcrkins knew it was a lie; every person else that knew perkins as well as I knew him knew it was a lie, and I have only known him six weeks, so if I could get the deed back by signing that lie that almost everybody knew was false, but to leave that stand on record would simply be a trap for perkins to catch some other mush head in like myself, and I have lots of sympathy for that class and would say look out for perkins for he is one of the slickest liars of the day but he only got $12.50 out of us fellows on that deal. I would say to those interested in this matter, if you have an kick to make, please, be kind enough to come to me and not to my brother as I have taken all the responsibility on myself without bitter feelings toward any person, and if mr. perkins ever rcferuis I would like for him to call me his friend, for the old saying is it takes a bad boy to make a good man, so I would like to have the honor of being his intimate friend.
