Notwithstanding that the regular-ball team went to Belvue last Sunday to play a game, a bunch was hurriedly picked-up Sunday morning to play the soldiers on the Silver Lake diamond in the afternoon. Navarre, Binny, Stewart and Hook came down from Rossville and helped the Lake boys out.

It was a good game from start to finish, and went Saturday Night's Band Concert. Another large crowd at the open air band concert last Saturday night. The evening was ideal, and all enjoyed the occasion. The music was fine. The ice cream tables were patronized quite liberally.

After the concert the Odd Fellows invited all who wished, up in their hall where a musical treat awaited them, and the large hall was soon filled. Mr. Ernest Palmer, and sister, Mrs. Edith Goodno entertained the crowd with several violin and piano selections which were freely applauded. Mrs.

LonWentworth and Mrs. Edith Goodno and Mrs. D. P. Dudley rendered several beautiful piano selections.

Mr. Ernest Palmer, who has rare musical talents, rendered a difficult piano selection which pleased the guests. Mr. W. F.

Palmer was called upon, and after much persuasion, and a little "force," by chief escort, Wm. Hansford, favored the audience with a few violin selections. Mrs. W. F.

Palmer played piano accompaniment. Mr, G. A. Reinhardt and the Mowers brothers Abe and Kirk also rendered several violin and piano selections. The selection that caused the most merriment, was that of the "Arkan-saw Traveler," as played by Ernest It was the closest imitation of the real thing that eleven innings before tse game was decided.
