MAH11LIGK3 Southwestern again proves herself 0 championship school by the number of marriages, which took place Among her students this summer. First there was the marriage of Miss Lila Horton to Mr. Ralph Templln, which occurred on June 18.

They were married at the home of the bride's parents at Geuda Springs, Kansas by Rev. Duck of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Templln will go to Boston this winter where Mr.

Templln will take work in the University of Boston. Another marriage of interest was that of Miss Fern Creekmore and Mr. Albion King, which occurred at Wichita, July 19. Rev. Mathews of Topeka performed the ceremony.

Mrs. King's father Is pastor of the South Lawrence Baptist church at Wichita. Miss Audra Meador and Rev. Pearson of the Methodist church at For-gan, Oklahoma were married near the first of August. Mrs.

Pearson was a Freshman in S. C. last year. Miss Ruth Stout, '19 and Mr. Carl Penniwell were married near the first of June.

Mrs. Penniwell taught school last year and Mr. Penniwell was in S. C. Miss Thelma Doggett was married to Mr.

Nelson, June 17. Rev. Clifford Doggett officiating. Mrs. Nelson lived at Liberal, Missouri.

Miss Ollie Bell Jasper of Lebo, Kansas and Mr. Clifford Doggett were married at the home of the brides parents on July 29. Rev. Chas. Dennison performed the ceremony.

The marriage of Miss Melba Lank-ard to Mr. Boyd Bridges occured June 26 at Kingfisher. Both are well known here. They are at home now in Arkansas City where Mr. Bridges ifc in the life insurance business.

Shakespear tells us that "there is a tide in the affairs of men which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune." The occasion was in honor of Miss Helen Cramer who is to leave for Topeka soon where she will enter Washburn College. Miss Cramer was in summer school here in Southwestern. She and her parents came to Kansas recently from Illinois. The guests spent the evening in playing games and in having a general good time. Those present were Misses Marjor-ie Frankum, Reba Denny, Helen Foster, Ruby Saunders, Thelma Hough, Edith Hood, Helen Cramer, Pearl Ray, Ruth Terry, and Messrs.
