TEACHER QNV 8TUDENT. University and has been appointed to the chair of Natural Sciences in Lordsburg College. Mrs. Miller is an accomplished pianist and vocalist. The many friends of all these worthy young people will join us in wishing them many happy and useful davs.

Charles H. Williams, who graduated in law last vearat Yale, has en-tered to complete his college work. He will earn the A. B. degree with this j'ear's work.

Josie Wiess. of Ramona. has a good school near her home. She was oue of the few in her county who re-ceived a first grade certificate. Next year she hopes to be with us a full year.

The following have enrolled to complete the Academic Course this 3Tear: Mitchell Solanas, Anna Fakes. Byron Talhelm. L. E. Williams, Mrs.

Susie R. Williams, J. E. Studebaker, Florence Butler. The following youngministers are enrolled as students: G.

Arkansas City; A. L. Harter, Odell. Nebraska; I. C.

Snave-ly, Kearney. Nebraska, will be with us next term. Besides our daily chapel worship we continue themiscellaneous chapel exercises which were a special feature last year. Topics likethofollow ing are assigned to individuals for brief discussion: The coal strike, Cause of rise in the price of wheat, Dr. Andrews and Brown University, The Hawaiian question, What is an injunction? AMONG THE STUDENTS.

F. Gustafson continues with us and is now a Junior. A. L. Harter, of Odell, Nebraska, is one of our assistant teachers.

G- M. Lauver came in a few days late on account of having been engaged in ministerial work in Oklahoma. Ellis Strickler has a position as book-keeper and salesman in West Virginia. He also does regular ministerial work. C.

W. Evans recently gave us a call to express his good will for the college. He has been pursuing a course in medicine. The following students have enrolled to complete the Normal Course this year: Dora Sherfy, E. K.

Lillie-MatthewR, -William Reese, Herbert Caldwell. H. C. Allen. The total national debts of the world is now while in 1870 it was A most discouraging feature of this debt is that the tendency is to increase rather than diminish.

The people who must finally iwiy all these debts, should jealousl' guard their interests and get out, and keep out of debt..
