At the general election, November 6th, the people placed a United states over the board at Lakin, which prevented them from committing any fraud, and the People's Ticket was elected. The new officers upon taking their seats made an investigation of the records of the county, and discovered that the old board, during their three months reign, had issued county warrants and script to the enormous sum of SU's'A'O. fur which they could show nothing that they had purchased fr the county.
