For Sheriff I am a candidate for Sheriff of Thomas County and ask for the Republican nomination at the August Primary. I promise efficient and honest perfomance of the duties required of me if I am elected. George McAdams. Announcement Have sold cut my business interets at Bird City, Kansas to E. F.

Jeff eries and am moving to Brewster to locate permanently. My temporary office will be at the F. A. Hance Drug Store. Calls answered promptly Day or Night.

H. R. Conway, M. D. Last Sunday afternoon on Brewster's Diamond, the home boys made a very good showing in the combat with the McDonald team.

The game was called promptly at 2:20 P. M. and every plaver went into the game with a determination of winning the No scores had been made bv either team until the fifth inning when McDonald run in two scores on errors. Then in the eighth inning they again run in one score making them three. In the last half of the ninth inn-ing our nome boys began to whiD up and did their best to win the game but only run in two scores which left the score to stand 3 to 2 in favor of McDonald.

In-spite of the fact that McDonald has a salaried pitcher the Brewster bovs did exceptionally good, with Wyman Peity and Lloyd Mallory holding down the position of battery all through the game, and if they progress in the next six week as they have during the past six weeks the Brewster base ball fans will see some very fast games on the home ground before the season is over. A very large crowd wa3 present to witness this fast game and it is hoped and expected that every Brewsterite interested in base ball will step out and rout for the home team, Announcement I here by announce the voters of Thomas County that I am a candidate for the second term as your representaiVe in the State Legislature. My name will appear on the Republican ballots in the August Primary. A Gillispie. Prairie Gem Church Notes Morning Worship at 11 A.

He said: "One fellow hit the other one with a club and nearly knocked his brains out." The young hepeful of the family, proud of his dad, said: "They couldn't knock any brains out of your head, could they, dad?" He meant to be complimentary but it didn't turn out just that way. But if dad has an account at our Bank, we'll sav he has some brains in his head, and is probably smart enough to keep them their, too. It requires more brains to SAVE money than it dues to EARN it or to SPEND it. starts your engine instantly, rushes your car across the miles and gives that super-service which brings you back for more.
