The happy couple have the best wishes of the Srx for long life, peace, happiness, The rapid growth of our city has taught its citizens to gaze with undisturbed equanimity upon even the advent of the dude and peanut roaster; the wise sayings of the tenderfoot have ceased to cause the boys" to indulge in a smile, but the appearance of plug hats on tiie head of two of our professional men yesterday almost caused a recurrence of the old times. At present writing the "boys" have the hats outside the corporate limits and are shooting them. The band boys had their photos tak en twice Thursday evening, using the court house as a background for the bank for the other. The usual number of street urchins were on hand endeavoring to crack jokes at the expense of the band boys, and when the bank was used as a background, several of the aforesaid urchins, among whom were Master Charlie B. Weeks.

Willie R. Hoole, Willie Dixon and Jimmie Miskin. perched themselves on the bank porch as a relief to the background. Notice. By order of the district court of Stafford county, Kansas, I will on Thursday May 14th 1885, offer at public sale, in front of Hoole Glasscock's store, St.
