In response to an invitation, a council of ministers and delegates assembled at the residence of Mr. M. II. Wright, in Dunlap, 23d to consider the expediency of organizing a Congregational Church. The meeting was opened by prayer, ledby Rev.

E. Cleveland. The Key. E. Cleveland was chosen Moderator and llev.

J. Harper, clerk of council. The letter missive was then read. The council consisted of ministers and delegates as follows: Rev. L.

Armsby, pastor, Mrs. C. R. Kent, delegate, Council Grove; Rev. W.

D. Webb, pastor, Deacon II. Binnian, White City; Rev. R. Cordley, pastor, Emporia; Rev.

J. Harper, pastor, Rev. E. Cleveland, delegate, Burlington. A long conversation then ensued in relation to the expediency of forming a church.

It was unanimously resolved, on motion of Rev. W- D. Webb, "That the Council consider the reasons given for the organization of a Congregational church perfectly satisfactory." It was resolved that the moderator assist iu the organization. Bros. M.
