Wichita Daily Eagle. The Eagle has about said all there is to be said about the gentlemen who are playing politics instead of igovernment these days. We received yesterday from the committee that represents these obstructionists, a beautifully engraved document showing the likeness of the thirty-nine senators who would rather be President than say a good word for a man who is using his utmost efforts to devise a League of Nations constitution that will stand the test. This second declaration of independence stuff sounds fine but when you begin to compare the men whose signatures are attached theretq, with the character of the men who signed the original Declaration of Independence, there isn't any more needs to be said. E. Williams returned from Denver on 104 Tuesday morning. He says that ice formed and the truck gardens and fruit in tlie vicinity of Denver were completely destroyed Sunday night by a heavy freeze. This is a calamity to the small farmer who depends upon a small irrigated farm for a living. He also said that while the wheat "growers in Kansas are' now complaining of too much moisture the wheat growers of Colorado not only in the dry farming regions but in the irrigated lands as well are lamenting the want of it.
