J. tomorrow morning, at the usual time, half past Will Anderson this morning received the sad intelligence of his father's death, at 7:30 o'clock yesterday morning, at his late residence in Bock Spring, Ky. As the funeral will take place before Will could get home, he will not go. George started Sunday noon, and could not reach there before this morning. Tom, who was out of the city during the day Sunday, started the same evening on the east bound freight, and will not arrive until this evening.

Mr. Anderson was 67 years of age at the time of his decease. Congestion of the lungs was the cause of death. The boys have the sympathies of our entire community in their loss. FRY, ROM CO.

Modern Woodmen. A. J. Mabie is meeting with good success in organizing the order of "Modern Woodmen." There will be a meeting held next Friday evening in the Odd Fellows hall, when the organization will bo perfected. The Modern Woodmen is an association having in view a safe and legitimate insurance, at low rates.

None are admitted until they have passed a thorough medical examination. It is claimed on good that the assessments in this organization are lower than any other that is run on a similar plan. Anyone wishing to join should consult Mr. Mabie, Dr. Phelps, or meet with the "Woodmen next Friday evening.
