B. Kline has 30 acres of as fine wheat as ever was seen in Kansas. Mr. Montague is batching now, we feel sorry for him. B.

Kline has got the finest house in Laurel, it cost no less than fifteen hundred dollars. Mr. Bernard you want to slip on the blind side of the Laurel school house if you want to get in. Mr. Newell is preparing to sow onion seeds.

Mr. Newell is a good gardiner. Miss Nancy Smith i3 spending a few days with her father, C. Smith. Mr.

Miller, and Mr. Bernard for publication. I will say in my own behalf and in defense of my character, that I never dreamed of one man in my neighborhood that had ought against me, Mr. Hart especially, that I had done so much for, as my neighbors know. I ask your Honor to go to Mr.

S. Tovnsend and ascertain my standing. I also refer you to the First National Bank and the other Bank of the city; I have done business with both. I refer you and the community at large to S. Townsend.

I uelt with him from the first week they done business until I left the state. I bought all my groceries on time and got everything 1 wanted, money or no money. This being the case, whv should 1 so-licit aid through you trom the county, when I could get all I wanted from Mr. Townsend. I shall close this by saying that if the county commissioners want anything further or want me in person, if you or the Hon.

It wa3 decided at the Webster school house last Tues.Iay evening that foieign immigration to the U. S. should be restricted. Bert Merrill received some very pretty valentines this year; one was all cheek! Like him. The Belle Center literary society adjourned last Friday night, sine die, a spelling school will take its place hereafter.

Jack Lillis made a mash sometime ago, we hope he will be successful (enough to get mashed.) Calithumpian does rot have the grippe yet, but he has something worse, he has the Cinimiron (Gray county) fever. Mis' Annie Weaver, who ha3 been troubled with La Grippe, has recovered and is now able to be about again.
