W. Dix, of the Lawrence Business College, is in town for the purpose of organizing and teaching a class in penmanship. He comes well recommended, and we have no doubt he will succeed. J. R.

Senior, of New York city, who has been stopping here for several weeks past, left last Saturday for the southwest part of the State, to take a look at the country. Mr. Senior is a 3-011 ng man of great ability and good social qualities. He is a singer of considerable ability, and a very excellent voting man in every respect. We ish him abundant success.

Williamson has been very ill for some time, but we learn she is improving at present. John Seal has just returned from a visit to Missouri. He reports times dull in the part where he was.
