DISTRICT 42. Miss Myrtle Bortz Was visiting Goldie White Thursday. Miss Jessie Jaquith and Ione Ernst of Americus were visitors at Miss. Mattie Wheelers this week. John A.

Laughlin and Rev. Flickleger of Americus were callers in this district one day this week. Mrs. Whieler and son Lester were calling on Mrs. Puzzard Thursday.

Miss. Saddie Service returned from Colorada last week. S. Raley was a business caller in 42 Tuesday. Henry Bortz and son are helping Wm.

Shope make hay this week. Dr. Wright was a caller in the district Tuesday. Bill Simmons was a businesr caller in 42 Tresday Mrs White, danghter Caddie and son Harry were visiting in Americus Tuesday. Clvde McAuley was in this district bright and early last Sunday morning.

Mr. Metzger and Arthnr Myers Americus was taking an evening drive in 42 Tuesday. Mrs. Service and Madam Swan of Emporia were callers at Mrs. Buzzard Wednesday Mrs Laughlin and son Irvin were shooping in Americns Thursday.

linel Office the best grade in the city. David P. Tressler was born March 15th 1839 in Center Township Perry County Penn. and died at his home in Americus Kans. August 15th 1900 Aged 61 years 5 months.

He was married October 10th 1860 to Miss. Mary Anna Spohn, to this union 4 children were born. His wife proceeded hin only 8 months ago. Bro. Tressler was dedicated to the Lord in Christian baptism by Rev.

Wm. Hines April 8th 1839 his life has been spent in the service of his master he was a member of the Evangalical church until August 1st 1886 be united with the M. E. chirch of this place. Mr.

Tressler was the senior member of the firm of Tressler Lowry but for a long time has been unable to at tend to duty, he was known by all as Uncle David. He always took a great liking to the children and was a fav. orite with all. He served his time 111 the cival war and was an active member of the G. A.
