T. B. Nash passed through our city Friday evening, enrout for Hugoton. Misses Hattie Gleckler and Cora Wilson made the Sentinel a plesant While there are some people who make a fuss because they don't get all the aid. We take the pleasure in saying so far as we know, it has becn'exceedingly well done all over the County and has relieved many poor and needy.

Y. Levell all OUR COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT PASSED AWAY. S.M. Hancock died at his residence near LaKayette, Thursday Dec. 19th.

He had been sick with Mountain fever and was just able to be up when he was attacked by a terrible pains in the bowels which caused a rupture. After suffering three days he passed quietly away. He leaves a wife and ten children. Mr. Uancockjwas a kind and indu'genl husband and father and the County loses a faithful servant.

His loss will be felt by his host of friends who sympathize with the grief-stricken family. There is a good Shepherd who looks after the widow and fatherless. lwob. Mo.MT. Xlrl.lMa. A Hiilil IMI PASSED TO THE SUMMER LAND. From the Farmer Reporter of Clyde Ohio, we learn that Timothy Wilcox passed from Works to Rewards on November 24th, 1889 at the age of 74.

Mr. Wilcox will be remembered by the citizens of Woodsdale and many of our readers outside of the city, as the father of Rollaud T. Wilcox one of the men "brutally murdered by citizens of Hugoton, July 25th, 1888, in No Man's Land." Timothy Wilcox was born in Bradford county Penn. Nov. 30th, 1815.

Feb. 21st, 1840, he married Miss Harriett McPherson a native of the state of New York. They had ten children Holland T. the youngest of the family. Mary E.

He took the murder of his son very much to heart, visiting Stevens county wih au undertaker for the purpose of moving his body to his home in Ohio, but after taking him up it was found impossible, and what is mortal of that beloved son remains in our cemetery south of town. The family of Mr. Wilcox have our deep sympathy iu'Ahe loss of a husband aud father. But we hope they will not mourn him as dead but as ascended to that higher life, where with a warm, heart he still hovers around, counseling his family to prepare whilst here, for that better lite iu the great-hereafter.
