22 11. L. walk hk, Uejrister. it should be inferred that the Harper churches contain a good many hypocrites can be said of them as of the rest of Harper county people. They are as a class superior to those usually found on the frontier.

They belong to the reading classes, and as a rule are energetic, enterprising, and honest in the highest degree. School districts are being organized every where, and school houses are being built wherever there are scholars enough to demand it. Consequently people coming here will lind the facilities for the rudiments of an education just as good, as they are elsewhere. The most desirable land, has of course, been nearly all taken, but there are still we will state that we do not believe they contain any, there are so many outside the churches that there is no social, busi ness or political advantage to be gained by -aJOHN STIYERSk- carries a general stock of joining.
