ft a OBITUARY FOR It Isis Aurora Walker Isis Aurora Nelson, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson, was born in Pawnee county, April 21st, 1899, and departed this CHRISTMAS life December 1st, 1919, aged 20 years, 7 months and 10 days. WW She was united in marriage to Hugh Elliott Walker of Winnepeg, Can. Her husband was an ex-service man WW w- This Year We Offer Ex- and was overseas in the service of the ceptional Big U.

S. A. WW Mrs. Walker arrived in Lamed on November 21st for a short visit, while Values in Appropriate Pres- ents for All her husband was seeking a location in Canada, after which he was to come and get her. She was taken very WW WW sick and her death is a shofck to the WW WW WW whole1 community.

Lewis of the Fort Hays Normal was elected president of the entire four sections of the association. S. M. Neese of Independence was re-elected treasurer, and L. Pinet was re-elected secretary.

It is reported by Secretary Pinet that 13,000 teachers enrolled in the association during the past year, most of them during the convention. The dates set for the 1920 convention breaks away from a precedent of long standing. It has been the custom for many years to hold the annual teachers' convention in November. October 28, 29 and 30 are the dates selected. "There's a reason." The teachers are still planning to' take a hand in politics.

Nelson Was in the city last Thursday from Garfield and left us an order for printing for the Garfield Mill Elevator Co.
