The South is now fully aroused upon the Kansas Question, and if Gen. Pomeroy and is valiant forces feel disposed to fight, just let them pitch in. The position of President Pierce upon Kansas affairs is not, I cm sure, fully known and appreciated by our party. The President fully and unequivocally endorses the course of Gov.

Shannon, and promises to exercise all the power vested in him for the maintenance and execution of the laws enacted by our last Legislature. He has no sympathy whatever with the abolition pany ot Kansas, and will do all in his power to "subjugate their stiff necks." The firm and decisive course of our chief magistrate upon all matters in which the interests of the nation have been involved, deserves the hearty thanks of every true patriot. Within the few days past a memorial has been received by the President from the citizens of Doniphan county praying for the removal of Gov. Shannon. Among the signatures attached to the memorial I recognize the names of many of our notorious abolitionists.

The memorial reads thus To Ili.i Exrellenry the President of the United Stales.
