New towns are rapidly building up north and south of Carlton and thia place is bound to be the Great Supply Point Our citizens must get a move on themselves if they exptct to keep at the head of the column. Syracuse is doing well, but it is no particular credit to its people, but rather to its own natural advantages. Probably Syracuse has been the least advertised of any town in the southwest. A hundred dollars would more than pay its newspaper advertising for a year. As to getting up excursions and similar devices for booming the city, as almost every other town has done, not even an attempt has been made.

It has got to be done aud the sooner tho better. Journal. "Wichita spent 1100,000 advertising herself before sho realized a dollar.
