F. King, Attorney. 5 niflcent dining cars, sleepers and chair Your readers in South Gray, wish to tellt heir neighboring rival towns which have been so busy wrangling for the retention of a few musty office books, Jiow we, in this vicinity, have been quietly, but steadily increasing in population, wealth, society and popularity, until Montezuma has become the business center of Gray county; noted for her upright, honest citizens, good trading and shipping facilities, and the spirit of sociability, which prevades the atmosphere and tends to make all social gatherings, pleasant and profitable. Mrs. M.

E. Stephens of Salem township visited in our city last Saturday and Sunday. Mr. Stewart and son formerly of Cimarron, are now residents of our burg. Some misunderstanding about a dance here, caused several to be disappointed who took quite a long ride last Thursday night to attend.

Real estate has been quite lively the past few weeks occasioned by the gentle Kansas zephyrs. Mr. John Smith is on the sick list at present. Miss May Smith who has been visiting friends near Kansas City the past few weeks is expected home this week. Mr.

Hungate, who is now on his 'way to Montezuma, has been visiting with his sister Mrs. C. F. Clark, the past few days. Mr.

Mr. Johnson from near Ingalls has located a few miles south of town, South Gray people gladly welcome Mr. Johnson and family in their midst. Mr. Will Marlow of Santa Fe was a caller in Montezuma last Sunday.

Among the many visitor! present at the Lyceum last Saturday night, we noted several from Macomb, Lockport, Gray Center, Wabash, and Meade county. We were feeling rather jealous to think we could not have an extra session of court held in our city as well as in both our northern towns, but since last Saturday night we have changed our minds, and are very willing they should monopolize all the pleasure to be derived, and keep it entirely across the river.
