cessful end. lie came from Burlington, Iowa, and located iu the fall of 1HH5 in Michigan towuship and by perseverance and good business man. agemeiit has established himself firmly In our county and so far as we know lie stands at tho head of stockmen in this vicinity in the raising of jure blooded horses and rattle, lo having sixteen head of tho former all blooded except two, and over fifty 1 of the latter all Hereford. Tho Parsons' land) consists of 000 acres of deeded land besides a largo tract held in claims, and to say that Mr. Parsons is among tho leaders In the county in his busi-ness nnd that lie actually pay a good revenue into tho treasury Is giving facts at they exist, and his worth as a good business man will bo more appreciated as ho Is brought in closer relations with the business of thp county.

Mr. Parsons ability to conduct tho important office of treasurer is beyond question, and the people should consider his merits and claims to the office carefully before rendering their final decision at the coinention or the polls. Herman Alleman, the last candidate to announce himself for treasurer, but by po means tho least, comes forward presenting claims for tho position that is worthy of both mention aud consideration. We came to this place in 1885 and found Mr. Alleman heru substantially located about four miles northeast of town where he has romained engaged tilling tho soil and also in the stock business.

While always being a strong Ravanna man Mr. Alleman, has kept aloof from personality and town-sits manipulations. He is an honest farmer and just the kind of a man that will please probably the majority of the voters, lie is careful in tho management of his own affairs which is a guarantee that the management of the treasurer's office would be conducted in like manner. lie is a gentlemar of matured years and of good judgment, a particular feature which should bo considered by ou people in selecting a candidate io fill the responsible office. He ranks among tho substantial tax-payers and by guarding his own interests would be virtually guarding the interests of tho people of the county.

Ilia ability to conduct tho office will not bo questioned, and we present Mr. Alio-map to the people of Garfield county for they- favorable consideration for the office to which he aspires. STAR LIVERY STABLE. A. Cohn, Proprietor.
