He is an old typo, and we wish him great success. Rev. Amos Jones, of the Congregational COAL! If you want 6 1-2 bus Wier City church, preached at Clear Creek School House, on Sabbath afternoon, to a large lump, delivered for one congregation. We would "suggest to the Editob Tkibcxz: As it appears that the bridge and depot question are the all absorbing topics of the day, we would like to say our little piece. In your issue of the 19th of May, you speak of the Commissioners being corralled by the business men of Cherryvale.

Ton failed to inform us of what kind of material that corral was made, so we will suppose it to be made of hard wood and put together with hardened steal tpikes, and that the cattle corralled were Mavericks, and not being branded were co railed for the purpose of branding, and after being branded of course they belong to the parties whose brand they bear, and of course work for their owners. Now we would be pleased to have a description of the brand, so we would know to whom they belong hereafter. We thought that public servants belonged to the public, and that they would pay some attention to the interests of the public, but we find we were sadly mistaken, as there seems to have been no attention paid to the requests of over 300 citizens, directly interested in the location of the bridge across the Verdigris in Sycamore township, but said bridge seems to have been located in the interest of Cherryvale and a very few citizens of Sycamore. But it stands the people in hand to know whose cattle they put under the yoke in the future. We also see that "East Side" in your last issue is very much afraid of building np Wilson county and her towns, and thinks the location of the depot a wise one, being as near the center of the count) as it could be.

You also say that the location is a fine one. It may be for Independence and a very few others, but not for the majority of the citizens of the township. The location is such as to drive the trade from all the north part of the township to Keodesha. A more unsatisfactory location for the depot could not have been found in the township, is the opinion of a large majority of the citizens in the north and central part of the township. We did think that a R.

E. company composed principally of citizens of our county would have felt some interest in locating the depot where it would have been the most benefit to the township, but it seems that they only had the interest of self. We think the company would Lave made more to have put the depot in the proper place for nothing, than to locate it where they did for forty acres. must order at the store of the Farmers Elevator.
