Thirteen teams stui ted for Syracuse last Monday for a part of the lumber for the School House at this place. It wilblnko about us many more teums to finish drawing the lumber. This school house, when it shall have been completed, will be the best, one in southwestern Ivans. It lias four large "rooms with a sent-inir capacity of two hundred pupils, and the seatsaud furniture and appu rat us are already bought and delivered. Mr.

J.D. Young, tho contractor says he will have tho build ing completed by the hist of Jiiih. It will iieccsfitate him to employ quite a force of carpenters in connection with other couttacts that helms for other buildings in our town. Frank Tong and family started the first of the week for their old homo in Leon, Kansas. Mr. W. Johnson and Mi. 1'avid A Tudor of Tipton county Ind arrived in tloga last Friday, and expressed thems'dves as greatly pleas ed with our town and surrounding country.

They intend to take claims near Taloga. II, B. Wiley has opened up a fresh stock of groceries and feed in his new building one door east of the Star office and is selling goods at juices that will insure him a large share of the public patronage. There is no necessity of going to the road for goods when you can get them at road prices at your door. Give Mr.

Wiley a call and he will treat you right. Farmers hold on to your farms. Don't get discoursed and give them away merely because von have had ono or two light crops, or because you have been unfortunate in othe'-respects.
