M. All AM. The subject of this sketch came to Kansas in the autumn of lSHIi and located in Meade county. Ho at once became infatuated with the beauties and resources of southwest Kansas, and began tho work of trying to induce emigration and secure a developement of the country, He is a live, wide-awake, progressive man and becomes very deeply interested iu whatever lie undertakes. He located in Springfield in the spring of 1880, and thoroughly identifying himself with the place, became one of its most useful champions.
