Gass, died at her residence one and one-half miles south-east of town, on Marck 28, 1894, after an illness of about nine days. Deceased was born in Georgia on Aug. 1, 1847, and was married to J. W. Gass in 1S00.

She was the mother of seven children, of which two died in their infancy. The other five are' living with their father, and mourn the loss of a mother and companion. Sister Gass was a devoted ehris tian woman, a loving mother and an excellent neighbor; She was loved by all who knew her. The funeral was preached by the writer on March 30 after which her remains were intered in Rose Hill Cemetery, east of town. J.
