Davis and Smith of Pratt were in the city looking after accomodations for a car load of Pratt singers who were going to attend the jubilee; that "Pratt boasts of some excellent musicians," etc. The news stumbled onto one fact in that last sentence and its fortunate for the balance of the state that Pratt's musicians are not entered in the jubilee race. follow the crowd." Rev. McCormick preached a powerful sermon at the Methodist church last Sunday evening. It was plain, but to the point: it was the doctrine of love to God and all mankind; "peace on earth, good will to men;" it was a rebuke to Pharisees, to the sneaking, carping make-believe christian who delights in tearing down a character rather than to help build one. It was a message of good cheer such as Christ taught in the land of Judea. C.

Judge Bashore closed court in Kingman Tuesday evening and opened the May term of court in this city Wednesday morning.

To a TIMES reporter the judge said that the reported arrest of Editor Albaugh for contempt of court at Kingman was not correct but gives the facts in the case as follows: Albaugh used very harsh language in his paper concerning certain decisions by the judge and if not in contempt of court came very near it and the judge appointed a committee of six to and report whether or not they considered Albaugh's actions to be in contempt of court. Four of the committee did not think it was strong enough to amount to contempt and two said it ought to be considered contempt. The majority being against implicating Albaugh, the matter was dropped and no arrests were made as reported in the daily papers..
