Wells has had a building moved into town lrom the south-west part of the county. The west side of the coun ty seems to be infested with a band of house thieves, and as soon as a house -is left 'vacant it begins at once to dis appear by pieces. If they buy their cows they may bring disease in the herd unknowingly. It may require. two or three years to raise a heifer calf, which appears to be a loss of time, but if the calf is sired by a the rough bred sire, of choice breed, it will soon pay for itself and be a source of revenue for vears.
