Teddie Shorb, aged eight years, died Sunday afternbon from a continuous nose bleed. The funeral was held Monday afternoon. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.

D. Shorb, of 205 South Cottonwood. The family have the sympathy of all. It is considered quite offensive now to refer to a man of wealth as a millionaire. They object to being classed among the common herd.

The Southeastern quarter of the city was placed under quarantine regulations Tuesday morning, and a house to house canvas was made to locate those who had not been vaccinated. If any were found who would not submit to vaccination, they would be isolated as smallpox patients.

So far as the Journal has been able to discover, there have been none so isolated, as everyone in the city is anxious to have the disease stamped out as quickly as possible. President Joe Cox, of the Northrup at J. Watches property repaired Merchant's. Lieut. Tom Bartlett came in Sunday from Florida, where he is stationed, called home by the serious illness of his mother, who is suffering from smallpox.

Jennie Bartels, wife of Mr. T. M. Bartels, died at the hospital last Tuesday morning, following an illness of more than two years. Mrs.

Moore died at the family home Saturday night, after an illness of many months. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Methodist church, Rev. E. W. Spencer officiating and the remains were taken to Moran for burial.
