WESTERN NORMAL LEADER 9 lections. Mr. and Mrs. Wood chaperoned the party. The event was closed by giving a Lyceum yell, led by their yell leader, James Winchester.

Lyceum Play. The biggest society hit of the season was made last Friday night when the Lyceum Society staged "The Freshman" with an all star cast. The parts were very well chosen and a good deal of originality was displayed in each character. Winchester, Mock and Archer were typical College sports while Beeby, the millionaire's son, disguised as a brick layer, was up to his old tricks and flirted with the college president's daughter, which role was charmingly played by Eulalia McNay. A more proverbial protessor than Richmond could not have been found, while Brungardt studiously played the part of the studious student.

Miss Hastings made an ideal chaperon for the young folks, and Miss Groff kept things moving with her college spirit. Jean Cave as the landlady's daughter gave body a piece of her mind as the occasion arose. Geo. McVey made such a realistic "coon" in manner, speech and color that his most intimate friends would not claim an acquaintanceship. Altogether the play was a success; the proceeds to be used to decorate Lyceum hall.

The Kansas City Star came out with the issuance of marriage license to a gentleman from that city and Miss Macintosh. Miss Macintosh's age was stated as over 18. How about it Miss Macintosh? The ball team is now trying out several men for first, having lost their first baseman when George Davis, for reasons unknown, suddenly left for home. YOUR SHOES REPAIRED AND.
