Bury him sadly out of sight; Solemnly at the dead et night, Bury the poor Old Year. Lay him away to a loug, long rest; In ice and frost and snow wreaths dressed Bear away the funeral bier. Bury with hum in A wile deep grave Anger and grief, and forginess crave For all the mistakes if the past Let ail the words which have hurt ass so Into the grave with the old year go, Let no hatreds or grudges lust, Has come word of pierced the heart of a friend, His pardon beg ere the year doth end, Remember that life is brief. If ere another year roll by, The angel though our friend would die. Nothing could solace our grief.

So bury the Old Year out of our sight, Slowly and sadly at dead of night, And with tom things wrong: With lightened hearts, and with faith and love. Let us lift our thoughts to Heaven above And greet the New Year with song. Christinas Entertainment. The Christmas Entertainment the M. church was grand this year: no crazy woman nod no fire.

The program rendered was extra good, the main feature being a humorous recitation by Miss Grace Hopkins. May the paths of the children ever be as bright it was that beautiful Christmas night. The Christmas Tree.

The United Brethren church was filled to overflowing enrly Monday evening with fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers. uncles, aunts, sweet hearts lovers, cousins etc, ench anxious to know what was in store for them on that beautiful evergreen tree which was loaded with pres ents of every discription and illuminated with little wax tapers A splendid program was rendered which came the distribution of the presents. Although the audience was crowded, the best order and quiet was observed There was a sack of candy and a ball of popcorn for all of the little folks. It was the desire of those in charge to sce that none was let gO without some little token to cheer them and make them glad that Christmas came. Rey.
