Elmer McKee and Mr. Duck. We did not learn how much damage was done to Mr. Duck's house, but it was not a great deal. It is reported that Mrs.

Duck received a slight shock. The roof and a wall or two of Mr. McKee's house was penetrated but nothing was set on fire. There is a large swelling on the side of Mrs. McKee's head and the side of her face and neck look red as though they had been' burned.

She has also been confined to her bed several days since, and it seems very evident that she was struck by the lightning. Sale Five young, smooth piggish sows. A. J. McDowell, 2 miles southwest of Richland.

We feel that wTe owe a certain young lady school teacher not not fat from here an apology for an item published in the Pleasant View news alluding to her. The correspondent called this party a kid, and the wTord is usually applid (improperly) to boys or young men; so we were misled. Had we have known that the correspondent alluded to a young lady we would not have published the item. This young lady is quite intelligent, has been studying diligently for several years preparing to teach school, and she lately passed a good examination and received a certificate entitling her to teach. As she is just starting out in life to make her own living, and this is her first school, she deserves the special good will and encouragement of the people.

JohnKropff got badly mixed up with bumble bees one day this He went to his barn and found the bees and his fine black mare "raising a rough house." Just as John stepped in he received a warm reception from one of the hind feet of the mare, followed by warmer receptions from the bees, and all on account of "mixing" into a fracus something that made him worse off than had he left it alone. For Sale at a BargainA good second-hand medium size saddle; also a set of single breast harness almost new. C. V. Williams.

We would like to have another article from "Ex-Dancer." Albert Neese is spending a few days in Denver. The Reporter six months 50 cents, three months 25 cents..
