A new and worthy enterprise in this progressive city of Ulysses is the Daily Register, which made its appearance on the streets Wednesday morning. We cordially proffer the publishers, Messrs. Gill Cover, our best wishes. No Stevens Here. Zionville Sontlncl. What a wonderful change has come over our fair county since the temporary county seat has been settled.

Times are certainly and surely improving right along. Had the county seat war continued another year our county would no doubt have gone by the board. Thanks to the manliness of Andy Hoisington, we were spared another siege another year of suspense. While the fight continued we felt ourselves little more than temporary residents of the county, knowing only too well that we could not and would not locate permanently in a county when there would be no such thing as peace. Thank the Lord we have gone through the most of the battle and come forth unscathed.

We have many things to qe thankful for, and now, in our hour of success, wc desire to express our feelings. AND DEALER IN Tobacco and Cigars. MAIXSTKEET, ULYSSES.
