We were shown some fragments of a bone found by Mr. Sherman Bceman on his father's place, 16 miles east of here. He was down 58 feet when he struck the bone. It extended clear across the well but the blow from the pick shattered it into fragments. It is evidently a bone of some very large animal.

Will some one offer a suggestion as to the possible origin. Died: At the residence of James K. Spencer, 3 miles soutli, west of this city, on the 20th. of. July, 1886, Mrs, Hannah Spencer, of 75 years.

She was buried in the cemetery at this place on the 21st. The deceased was born in Delaware county, New York state, and passed the greater part of her life there, moving to this country a little over one year ago. She was the mother of three children, Mrs. Emma Tilton, of Worcester, N.Y. and Mrs.

Melissa Dibble, of Butternut, N. and J. K. Spencer of this city. She was a life long member of the Bap-sist church and led a most exemplary christian life, dying in a perfect trust and hope of a life The bereaved relatives have our heartfelt sympathy in this sad affliction.

Allmbusiness promptly looked after.
