Mel-loan went out after antelope last Wednesday afternoon and returned Thursday evening with lots of experience, but no game. The singing class went out to Dow's, Thursday evening to practice. Each ask judgement for 500 and 810 per day, for each and every day from April ICtli, that he has been deprived of the profits of the office. The gross income of the treasurer only amounts to 83 per day. It is supposed that they estimate the glory of oilice at 87 per day, and 850') additional. The people of Hamilton county may have to contribute some of their time and money in order to amuse and salisfy these kickers who failed to get votes enough. They are making harvest for attorneys and ofnceis of the court and a hue hirge bill of vmfs for the people to psiy.

We are sorry to lose them from our midst yet wish them the best of success in their new home. All the buildings that have been recently erected here have been rented, and will soon be occupied by hardware store, drug store, furniture store, restaurant bakery confectionery, -etc. These with the other business which we now have, pueh fw hotel, livery stable, blacksmith shop, two groceries, two dry goods snd cloth ing houses, bakery and restaurant, enable Surprise to supply tho surrounding country.
