Railroad Racket What is the matter with a united effort by Haskell, Grunt andStanton counties to secure the extension and completion to Trinidad of the Dodge City, Mountezuma and Trinidad railroad, thereby doing away with the expense and inconvenience of freighting everything through the sand hills. Haskell county is ready and willing to do anything in its power to secure the extension of the Dodge City, Mountezuma and Trinidad railroad. Something should be done at once. Santa Fe Monitor. We are heartily in favor of co-operation in this line if there is anything that can be done, and we are willing to meet any reasonable necessury to secure the road. Johnson City Journal.

There is nothing the matter with Haskell and Stanton, it is Grant county that is in the way, at least it has beeti in the past. Stanton County Republican; We would suggest a meeting of representatives from each county at Ulysse3 it being centrally located say on Saturday August to decide on what is best to be done and if possible, perfect arrangements to have definite action taken immediately. The Gates Ajar. Colorado Springs is situated near the Pass, and is the gateway for Manitou, Cascade, Green Mountain Falls, and Pikes Peak. At" Pueblo there is another break in the range.

The Grand Canon of the Arkansas. Just west of Denver is Clear Creek Canon wtth its pretty towns of Idaho Springs and Georgetown. There are also many charming camping out places near Trinidad. The Santa Fe is the only company owning its own lines from Chicago and Kansas City to these lour gateway cities Trinidad, Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Denver. Through vestibule dining cars, Pullman sleepers, vestibule reclining chair cars, tad faster time.
