For a week before hand there had been many misgivings in the minds of the old veterans of Bear valley Post, as to whether they could fittingly observe the day they having besu very much disappointed in their expectations in more ways than one.

But where "there's ajwill, there's a way," iur boys have shown that they have the "will," and they made the "way." Early in the day people began to arrive from all the surrounding country, and by 10, A. M. so many people were on our streets, that it looked like eyery body for many miles around had come to pay respect to the honored dead. At 10 o'clock A. M.

in pursuance to a call published in the Plainsman for six weeks past, and proceeded to a temporary organization by electing comrade P. It. Miner of Johnson City Chairman, and comrade A. P. Heminger of Santa Fe, Secretary.

On motion of Chas. E. Cauuon the temporary organization waa made permanent. By a unanimous vote it was resolved that each veteran present uhould be a member of the convention. The chairman in a neat, little speech thanked the convention for the honor of his election, aud stated the purpose of the meeting to be, to discuss the propriety of holding re-union of the veterans of he 32nd judicial district, and to select a place of holding the reunion.

A. motiou, that a re-union be held in this district, carried unanimously, and after considerable discussion, Ulysses and Johnson City, were nominated places for holding it. A vot was then taken which resulted in the selection of Ulysses. A motion to. fix the time for the re-uuion at some time during the nioun-light nights in September was A motion vas then made, that a committee of live comrade be appointed to be known as the committee of organization, which motion Kansas.

The Grand Army boys at Guthrie held services at the Christian church Elder Monroe preaching the meino rial sermon. Hon. B. Perkins delivered the oration at Girard, the procession to the cemetery being nearly one mile in length. At Burlington, Comrade II, H.
